Recently, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade has clarified the position of the Tax Code and explained that private persons who are single tax payers can not make payments through electronic payment systems.

Let us remind you that according to Art. 291.6, single tax payers have to pay for goods and works only in cash or By a bank transfer.

Other forms of payment can be subject to taxation at the rate of 15% according to Article 3 § 293.4. 293 of ? National Code of Ukraine?. In other words, single tax payer who use e-money will be deprived of a right to be a single tax payer.

Besides, the Ministry pointed to the " will-o'-the-wisp" perspective of lifting restrictions in in adoption of the "Strategy of Information Society Development in Ukraine, which envisages the development of e- economy till 2020.
